NOTE: Satan is an angel who became corrupted. He also corrupted a third of the angels of heaven in a mighty rebellion. This could be ta thousand times thousands of angels. They were cast out of heaven and have worked in this earth as the supporters of Satan. During the thousand years they will also be confined to the earth with Satan. The saints in heaven will make a judgement on that rebellion, from all the evidence that will be made available to them. In heaven there are many records kept which at that time will be opened. The questions that we have asked for generations about evil will be answered.
Q16 What cluster of events takes place at the end of the thousand year period?
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. Revelation 20:5
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of His prison. Revelation 20:7
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth. Revelation 20:8
NOTE: At this time all the dead who have chosen against God will be resurrected. Revelation 20:8 says they will be as the sands of the sea in number. They will not be changed as were the righteous, to have glorified bodies and full health. Among them will be many of the great generals of history, Bible characters that we know rejected God and millions more. Even with 1000 years to think Satan’s hatred of God is unchanged and his first plan is to deceive these millions of people. He will be, as he always has been, and the resurrected ones will still follow Satan planning for war as they were doing when Jesus came the second time. See Revelation 16:14 when they were gathered together in unity, for the battle of the Lord God Almighty, the battle of Armageddon.
Q17 How do we know that Satan is still seeking unity in his ranks?
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together. Revelation 20:8
Q18 Why is Satan gathering them together?
To gather them together to battle … And they went up on the breadth of the earth Revelation 20:8.9.
Q19 What is the focus of their attack?
And compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city. Revelation 20:9
Q20 How is John shown the coming of the beloved city?
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal, and had a great wall and high and had twelve gates … the city was of pure gold, like unto clear glass, and the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones ... and the twelve gates were twelve pearls.
Revelation 21:10-23
Q21 In Old Testament times who by faith had looked for this great city?
By faith ... Abraham looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Hebrews 11:10
